Paid registrations will be refunded in full for cancellation requests received on or before September 15. Requests received September 15 - 25 will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for any cancellation request received on or after September 25.

Ryan Barrett, Manager of Security Compliance, WebEx
Ryan is a global resource tasked with the organizations regulatory and compliance responsibilities for security and privacy. He is charged with creating and developing the company’s long term vision and roadmap for these programs and for its ongoing compliance with SOX, SAS70, WebTrust, ISO17799, PCI and many others. Prior to his role in compliance at WebEx, Ryan was a Senior Security Engineer where he managed a broad range of security projects. Before WebEx, Ryan was an independent Security Consultant performing security audits and implementing new security technologies.
Barbara Canup, Director of Technical Accounting, Horn Murdock Cole
At Horn Murdock Cole, Barbara is responsible for coordinating the technical team for the Silicon Valley office, addressing the impact of new regulatory guidance and developing training and tools for consultants. Barbara also provides consulting services to clients on SEC reporting issues. Barbara has worked in the area of SEC reporting for 18 years, including prior positions at Intel and Fidelity Investments in Boston. She holds a Masters of Science in Accountancy from Bentley College. Barbara is a CPA and member of the AICPA and the Financial Executives International.
Brad Chin, Director - Internal Controls, Google
Brad is currently the head of Internal Audit- IT at Google, establishing the function in 2004. The internal controls group is responsible for the internal controls function for the company, including Sarbanes Oxley, IT product and services risk assessments, and compliance and information system security audits. Prior to joining Google, Brad held Senior Management positions at Ernst & Young and Yahoo, Inc. He holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, an is a CPA and a CISA.
James Connor, Senior Manager - Global Security Systems, Symantec
James is responsible for the design and implementation of global strategies for technical security systems at Symantec. He is also currently leading and participating in many convergence projects within Symantec. James has over 17 years experience in security related fields. He has served in the U.S Coast Guard and U.S Customs and has also spent many years working in a business development role. James has served as a regional manager in both security and life safety for Simplex-Tyco Corporation and his last position was with PeopleSoft / Oracle as their global security systems manager. James is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, the High Tech Crime Investigation Association, and the Open Security Exchange- Advisory Council.
George Dooley, Vice President of Internal Audit, GAP Inc.
At GAP, George is the Chief Audit Executive with responsibility for all global financial, operational and technology audit activities, including the executive lead role for the SOX 404 compliance project. Previously, he was Chief Audit Executive for Arrow Electronics and held various executive positions at start-up companies in the Tri-State NY Area. George has a CPA, is a member of the Board of Governors of the San Francisco IIA Chapter, and is a former member of the Board of Governors of the IIA Long Island Chapter.
Mark Gosling, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers
Mark is an Internal Audit Services Partner with PwC who has worked in Internal Audit in professional services and in industry for over 15 years. Based in the Bay Area since 1996, Mark has led the delivery of co-sourced and outsourced Internal Audit services and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 assistance to a variety of national and international clients. Mark is also PwC's West Region Leader of the Internal Audit Advisory Services Practice. As such Mark has helped Fortune 500 clients improve their Internal Audit methodologies, risk assessments, and reporting and follow-up processes. He has also helped to develop and implement COSO-based training, control self assessment techniques, and automated workpaper systems. Mark has served as a member of PwC's Internal Audit Policy Board. Prior to joining PwC, Mark was in Internal Audit management with Exxon Mobil.
Hank Leingang, President and CEO, ITM Software
Hank’s reputation in the IT industry as a high impact professional has been fostered by more than twenty years of experience leading major operational and strategic changes in companies. With a track record of accomplishments, Hank possesses a broad perspective in developing solutions for IT and business management. Previously, he was the CIO of Bechtel Group, Inc. and the CIO of Viacom. Hank has also held senior IT positions at Triangle Industries and Interpace, and he was part of the New York management consulting practice of Touche Ross. Since 1996, Hank has served as a member of the Board of Directors of New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, a non-profit, highly regarded specialty hospital. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Contoural. Hank earned a BS from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
Blake Martell, Attorney, Fenwick & West LLP
Blake’s practice focuses on equity compensation and employee benefits. He has particular expertise in equity-based plans; corporate governance and disclosure; tax, securities and accounting treatment with respect to equity awards and plans; pension plans; welfare plans and retention/bonus plans. Blake received his LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law in 1998 and his J.D. in 1997 from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was a member of Law Review. Mr. Martell graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a B.A. in European history, in 1993. Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Blake was an attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Littler Mendelson.
Jerry Meyers, Senior Manager, Technology Risk, Protiviti
Jerry is specializing in providing a variety of technology and process based services to publicly held and emerging companies. His background includes extensive experience in IT risk assessments focusing on access and data-integrity control issues, Unix, AS/400 and application level security reviews, and assessments of IT policies and procedures. Jerry has over ten years of total technology experience including more than eight years in internal/external technology audit and controls assessment Arthur Andersen, Deloitte & Touche, and Protiviti. Before joining public accounting, he worked for Hughes Supply as an Internal IT Auditor, and as a database administrator for both USAir and the Sanford Airport Authority. Jerry joined ISACA in 1998 and is a CISA. He has been a board member in 2 chapters and heavily involved with the Marketing, Education, and Academic Relations groups.
Helen Munter, Regional Associate Director, PCAOB
Helen joined the PCAOB in April 2004 as Regional Director in the San Francisco office of Registration and Inspection. Previously, she was an audit partner and deputy director of professional practice in the San Francisco office of Deloitte and Touche. At the PCAOB, Helen has lead the inspections of various large national accounting firms, as well as registered firms located primarily in the Western Region. She has also lead the inspections of international registered firms in Mexico. Helen frequently addresses local audiences on matters of PCAOB activities, standards and inspections.
Philip Roush, Vice President, Internal Control Services, Cisco
Phil leads the Internal Control Services (ICS) department for Cisco Systems, Inc. Cisco Systems is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet with annual revenues of approximately $28 billion. ICS is a global organization that partners with the internal business units to optimize the processes and controls throughout the Company. Prior to joining Cisco, Phil worked for the telecommunications company Sprint, Inc. He held a variety of roles including Chief Audit Executive, International Division CFO and Vice President of Pricing and Contract Administration. He has also held senior level positions at PepsiCo, Inc. and Thorn EMI plc. Phil is a graduate of Emporia State University and began his career with Ernst & Young.
Tim Stephens, Partner, Risk Advisory Services, Ernst & Young
Tim has more than fifteen years of experience in internal audit, information technology (IT) and IT internal audit. Tim leads one of Ernst & Young's largest co-sourcing engagements, as well as engagements and value-add projects for select clients who wish to leverage IT functionality to improve business processes and contain/reduce costs. He recently led a SOX 404 optimization project for a Fortune 500 company that resulted in a significant reduction in the number of key controls. Tim is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, and a Fellow, Life Management Institute. Tim earned his undergraduate degree in Information Systems and his Masters degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado. He is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Institute of Internal Auditors, and the Project Management Institute.
