Global Mission
To support and enhance relationships among faculty and student bodies of colleges and universities and the local chapters, ISACA worldwide and the IS audit and control profession.
Universities and colleges are encouraged to establish relationships with ISACA. The campus advocate would work to promote
Student membership in ISACA and in local chapter
CISA certification on campus
COBIT as a teaching tool
The model curricula

SV Accomplishments
Chapter members presented AIS model curricula at the SJSU
Based on the model curricula SJSU customized the AIS program
SJSU adopted the customized AIS program along the guidelines set up by the IFAC (International Federation of Accountants)
The AIS program at SJSU will prepare the students  with an  opportunity for success at the CISA and CPA exams
Subsidize dinner for student attending the quarterly ISACA meeting

Other Activities and Achievements
Encouraged the formation of students chapter of ISACA at the SJSU.
The student chapter  was setup in fall 2000 and the chapter currently has 50 members.
Silicon valley chapter members gave an informational presentation of  IS auditing to SJSU student chapter members  and of the career options within the world of IT.
Approximately 110 members in the silicon valley chapter of ISACA.
Other Activities and Achievements
Winner of the K. Wayne snipes award for best small chapter.
Frequent seminars and conferences in other sister chapters such as san Francisco, Los Angeles.
Facilitates a free exchange of audit techniques and problem-solving approaches among members.
Quarterly meetings and/or workshops.
Networking opportunities.
