Winter Training Conference -- December 13-19, 2010
Save the Date!
Our 2010 Winter Training Conference will include in-depth versions of popular classes we have presented previously in the fields of IT Audit, Security and Governance, as well as new classes our members find interesting based on previous feedback. Our tentative schedule is as follows:
Demonstrate and share your expertise in the fields of IT Security, IT Audit, or IT Governance by presenting at the ISACA Silicon Valley 2011 Spring Conference. Presentations that include case studies or implementation stories that you have experienced first-hand are particularly encouraged. Co-presentations or moderated panel discussions are welcome. All presentations will be selected based on their educational value (no sales pitches), and will be prescreened by the Conference Committee.
CISM Certification Class for the December 2010 Exam
The CISM® certification program is developed specifically for experienced information security managers and those who have information security management responsibilities.
The management-focused CISM is a unique certification for individuals who design, build and manage enterprise information security programs. The CISM certification promotes international practices and individuals earning the CISM become part of an elite peer network, attaining a one-of-a-kind credential.
Although certification may not be mandatory for you at this time, a growing number of organizations are recommending that employees become certified. To help ensure success in the global marketplace, it is vital to select a certification program based on universally accepted technical practices. -- ISACA® International
To help you earn your designation, ISACA Silicon Valley offers classes twice a year. Chapter members will have their fees refunded if they attend a minimum of 2/3 of the classes, or if they pass the exam (students will need to first pay the fees, and will be reimbursed if they qualify). To take advantage of this offer, you will need to provide your membership number on the first day of class.
